My review below and look out soon for an author interview with Andrew Allan right here.

Walt's Fault: A Walt Asher Short ThrillerWalt’s Fault: A Walt Asher Short Thriller by Andrew Allan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enjoyable read in a genre I love. I particularly liked the author’s writing style – short, simple sentences in the crime noir school of some of the authors who influenced me such as Charles Bukowsi, and James M Cain.

Walt is a believable well-fleshed out main character with an interesting twist as he’s neither a detective nor a PI. The story moves along at a good pace full of interesting plot twists. Think biker gangs and the Mob, all set in a part of Florida that Allan obviously knows well.

Though a short and quick read, the author manages a satisfying ending while setting you up to read more of the series.

I will be reading some more of this author’s books.
